Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden brought their co-headlining tour (with Cold Cave opening the evening) to Gexa Pavilion Sunday night, enduring the drenching, muggy Texas heat to play for a drenched and muggy crowd!
With former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain sitting in for Matt Cameron (who, ironically enough, couldn’t attend due to currently being on tour… with Pearl Jam!), Soundgarden was in top form, plowing through many of their biggest hits such as Spoonman, Outshined, Rusty Cage, and Black Hole Sun.
Opening with Copy of A from the latest release, Hesitation Marks, Nine Inch Nails also covered many older hits that would be expected, such as; Sanctified, March of Pigs, Piggy, Terrible Lie, Head Like a Hole, and Hurt. The stage setup was spectacular as ever; moving panels of intricate, computer-controlled LED screens, dynamically changed the look of the stage for practically each song.
