Friday, Oct. 18th, 2013 at Verizon Theatre
The legendary John Fogerty graced the stages of Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX Friday night. Apparent technical difficulties led the show into a false start, but once everything was running again that was soon forgotten. Performing the hits of Creedence Clearwater Revival, the 68 year old Fogerty brought an energy to stage equal to, and even greater than many performers half his age.
Originally called The Golliwogs, Creedence Clearwater Revival released seven albums before disbanding in 1972 due to personal conflict within the band. John Fogerty continued as a solo artist, releasing ten studio albums, including his latest album Wrote a Song for Everyone released on Vanguard Records. Featuring two new songs, “Mystic Highway” and “Train of Fools”, John revisited many of his previous hits performed alongside some notable artists; Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Dawes, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert , Kid Rock, Keith Urban, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson, and Jennifer Hudson, just to name a few.
