Cheap Trick performed at The Bomb Factory this past Saturday in Dallas, TX, with Ian Moore and The Lossy Coils, and The American FUSE opening the evening.
Cheap Trick have suffered a few member changes over the years, but with the current line-up of Robin Zander, Tom Petersson, Rick Nielsen and Daxx Nielsen, the band put on a solid set, performing many of their greatest hits, including of course, Surrender and I Want You To Want Me. Their most recent studio release is 2009’s The Latest.
Originally from Austin, TX, Ian Moore and The Lossy Coils performed several hits such as Muddy Jesus, Satisfied, Harlem, Birds of Prey (from the 2011 album El Sonido Neuvo), as well as a cover of Freddie King’s Me and My Guitar. Ian mentioned returning to Dallas possibly in February of 2016.
And last but not least, Dallas’s own The American FUSE opened the evening, performing several songs from their 1997 release One Fell Swoop, including Don’t Chingale My Chevrolet, and Redline. Vocalist Nate Fowler assisted Cheap Trick on vocals with their encore of Bang Zoom Crazy Hello, and Surrender.
